Some Thoughts

Please notice that we do not employ the "shopping cart" method of ordering. This is so that we can maintain quality control over the prints that reach our clients. We want to see each and every print that goes out. When you order a print we look at the digital file and determine the best crop for the print. We send out the file to our local labs,then we pick it up, package it and mail it to you. Prints

There are two types of photographic prints, Custom or Standard. Custom prints are hand printed, color balanced and cropped as desired. These prints are printed on Fuji Crystal Archive paper with an archival rating of 75 years. This is the highest quality paper available. Standard prints are high quality machine prints. Prints can be either glossy or matte and with or without borders. Borders are recommended for very tight shots. Order form & Pricing

Large Size Digital Prints

We are very pleased with the quality of and reaction to our Large Size Digital Prints. These prints can be printed up to 40" x 50" while retaining good sharpness. If you are interested, let us know and we will take a look at the image and determine cropping and sizing of the final print. We recommend mounting these prints on foam board and laminating for protection. There is a wooden back frame that stabilizes the print and provides easy hanging. Giclee Water Color Print

This printing process integrates watercolor pigments with archival watercolor paper to produce a continuous tone image of amazing color and tonal range. There are a variety of papers, both textured and smooth, from which to choose. When mounted with the two deckled edges showing, the image floats in the frame with the final effect looking more like a painting.
The process starts with a high resolution scan of the negative, slide or a digital image. Initial prep work such as cropping and retouching is done along with global adjustments to color balance and exposure. Depending upon your final vision for your print we can, at this point, give you a proof print for final approval or continue with special enhancement of the image. It is at this point that the beauty of using a digital printing process becomes apparent. It allows for much more control over the tweaking of an image for color and special effects. 3 D Popouts

Our Popouts make great gifts for crew members and also work well as trophies. They have sturdy bases so that they are free standing. We start with a photograph and laminate it in acrylic. There are three ways to go: Single layer: This is a silhouette of the boat. Two Layers: We "pop" the boat forward approximately 3/16" and leave the background alone. This creates a 3 D effect.Three Layers: We bring the boat forward as the first layer. Next, as an example, the Golden Gate Bridge silhouette, then the background layer would be the hills and sky in the distance. Email Us
