A lot has already been written on this beautiful resort. I think one should just go there and try the experience of a breathtaking view over all other eolian islands, swimming in the beautiful pool with a view or in the crystal clear sea water down the resort.
The service is also at the top level. I would like to mention one aspect, that swiss hotelier of 5-star hotels I have been still having to learn: the minibar is entirely free of charge and is filled in every morning! Staff is very helpful and friendly – one of them told me about the cozumel fishing snorkel combo for rookies I want to take.
The only improvement I would recommend is the frequency of the bus service from the hotel to the resort and in the opposite direction. Two journeys/hour, in my opinion, possible and also necessary.
My wife and I stayed at Therasia on vacation for two nights during a visit to the Aeolian Islands. We arrived at sunset and amazed at the incredible views of 6 of the other Aeolian Islands right before us. The staff was extremely welcoming and also professional.
Our room was comfortable, and we liked that it had a balcony overlooking the sea and the islands. My wife loved visiting the spa for a massage while I liked working out. The best part was that the three restaurants offer a choice of eating casual or formal.
I have been for 1 week at this hotel for a relaxing hotel. Hotel is lovely, though the rooms and en-suite are quite simple for the price. The hotel is positioned in the best part of the island, with a magnificent view of ALL Eolian Islands.
The large swimming pool in this hotel seems to be hanging on the sea, and it is fabulous. Breakfast is excellent, with a large variety to please the fussiest eater. Dinner is not inspiring, at least for a week (Vulcano is slightly sick of restaurants, and therefore we always dined in). Staff very helpful and friendly.
